What you can do

Attach specialty work to the visit

An add-on booking records whether the visit includes Extensions or Wigs, the name of the add-on, its start date and client count. It always refers to a booking. Front Desk Agent can therefore prepare a specialty service without making a disconnected appointment. The booking remains the place to see the client, resource and overall visit dates.

Add-on charges are separate records linked to that same booking. Finance Officer uses the add-on name, charge date, amount and status to review what should be posted. The booking connection lets the team compare the specialty service with the amount charged for it, without treating a scheduled add-on as payment.

How the work is organized

  • Specialty booking. Choose Extensions or Wigs and record the named add-on against the selected visit.
  • Visit context. Check the linked booking before assigning a start date or client count.
  • Financial follow-up. Keep draft, posted and voided charges visible as separate charge states.

What to agree during setup

Choose naming conventions for common add-ons so booking staff and finance recognize the same service. Agree who checks the selected booking and who reviews evidence before an add-on is treated as ready. Decide how an add-on that changes after booking confirmation reaches the financial team. A charge should identify the intended booking and amount before it is posted. A voided charge remains traceable in financial review, rather than being silently omitted from the conversation.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A client with a confirmed visit asks for a wig fitting add-on. Front Desk Agent selects the existing booking, chooses Wigs, enters the add-on name and planned start, then checks that its client count still fits the booked space. The linked booking gives Property Manager the visit context and gives Operations Reviewer the source evidence to inspect. Finance Officer later sees a draft add-on charge tied to that same booking and reviews its amount before posting.

Rehearse a wrong-booking selection. Staff should correct the link before a charge is posted, because the amount would otherwise appear on another client’s visit. Also rehearse an add-on entered after the visit dates change: Front Desk Agent should review the new schedule with Property Manager before promising the specialty work.
