What you can do

Start with the organization that owns the relationship

A healthcare relationship needs a clear organizational home. A regional provider may discuss a service partnership with another provider while a separate division pursues its own agreement. The App Administrator identifies the organization responsible for each relationship before the Relationship Owner starts the opportunity. Account eligibility and membership then have a defined context.

The account carries a name, code, contact name and address, together with an eligibility note. That note gives the Relationship Owner a place to check why the counterparty is suitable for the work being proposed. An active flag supports the team’s account review. Keep the note specific enough for someone taking over the relationship to understand the decision without searching an old email thread.

How the work is organized

  • Organization context. Establish the organization name, code, time zone and currency. Use the organization consistently on its accounts, opportunities and referral follow-ups so a reviewer can establish who owns the work.
  • Account eligibility. Maintain the counterparty’s contact details and eligibility note. The App Administrator checks an account before the Relationship Owner relies on it for a new opportunity or submits related follow-up work.
  • Team membership. Link the team member to their authenticated user and organization. Their active flag and role name establish the membership context used when guarded actions check the acting person.

What to agree during setup

Agree how a code identifies an organization or counterparty and who checks a possible duplicate before creating another account. Decide which person maintains contact changes and how a Relationship Owner raises an eligibility question. An address change and a change in eligibility are different operational events; make their ownership clear during the pilot.

Set the time zone for the organization and its team members before comparing due work across regions. Also agree the meaning of expected opportunity value: it is recorded in USD even when an organization’s currency is different. Any conversion from a source system needs an agreed connection and conversion policy. Do not let a local currency label change how the team reads a USD amount.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Rehearse a regional healthcare partnership with an account maintained under the east region. Have the App Administrator check its eligibility note and the assigned member’s active organization scope. The Relationship Owner then opens an opportunity against that counterparty and confirms that the owner, account and opportunity belong together.

Repeat the handoff with a member from a different organization. The wrong membership must not authorize an action on the east region’s opportunity. Ask the Auditor to follow the accepted case back to the account and organization. This catches ambiguous ownership before the team begins reviewing referrals.

What your team sees

  • Active Accounts — Eligible counterparty records with contact details and an eligibility note to check before opening work.
  • Organization Directory — Organization settings used to interpret ownership, currency and working dates.
  • Active Team Members — Membership and role context for access review.

Follow the work through

Use qualification and proposals to carry the account into an opportunity. Rehearse organization access during implementation.
