What you can do
Start the review with the current work
Operations Overview is the published operating page for the sales and review team. It brings open pipeline, weighted forecast, review exceptions and persisted operation states into one view. A Sales Manager can start there, identify the cases that need a decision, and open the underlying opportunity, inquiry or receipt rather than relying on a number alone.
The open pipeline is rooted in opportunity status, expected value and expected close date. Probability gives context for a weighted forecast. Group stay inquiries add the dated request, and operation receipts identify actions that remain pending or need review. Each figure is useful only when the team can trace it to the record and owner behind it.
How the work is organized
- Pipeline. Relationship Owners maintain open opportunity values, dates and current status.
- Review. Sales Managers inspect submitted inquiries and decisions on the exact source revision.
- Exceptions. Receipts that need review lead the team back to the parent opportunity and linked effect.
What to agree during setup
Agree which organization each manager reviews and how often the team updates expected close dates and probabilities. Define a weekly review rhythm: owners correct stale deal facts, managers decide submitted work, and someone investigates receipts whose effect does not match the declared revision.
If the team uses multiple currencies, agree how the operating organization’s currency and effective exchange rates enter the forecast discussion. The app keeps a read-only rate table; the owner should confirm which rate source supplies it. A change in a rate should not be mistaken for a change in buyer intent.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Open an opportunity for a corporate travel buyer under a hotel group organization, with a close date in the current period. Record its expected value and probability, then log a meeting outcome. Submit a linked group stay inquiry for review. The Sales Manager should find the open deal, see the submitted request and make a decision using the underlying records.
Next, leave an operation receipt pending and reconcile it against its linked local effect. If the expected revision differs from the opportunity’s effect, the case should surface for review. Have the manager explain which owner must correct the record and which evidence must be checked. Repeat the review for a won and a lost opportunity so the open pipeline excludes both while their outcomes remain in history.
What your team sees
- Opportunity board — Open cases grouped by status for the pipeline conversation.
- Group stay review inbox — Submitted requests that need a manager’s decision.
