- Regional agencies
Regional agencies
A regional agency may have people in offices, field locations and remote assignments. Locations hold a type, city, country and linked tax jurisdiction. Employees link the location to their department, position, manager and payroll calendar. That gives HR and Payroll Admin a shared way to check where a worker belongs for an operating period.
How Government HRMS is set up for you
Location context
Locations distinguish office, remote, field and hybrid work without using a free-text location on every transaction.
Leave review
Leave Types and Leave Balances carry country and employee-class context for dated requests.
Time capture
Timesheets and Time Entries preserve weekly headers and dated hours, including overtime and on-call categories.
Pay period
Payroll Calendars distinguish entity, country, currency and frequency before a run is prepared.
A regional agency may have people in offices, field locations and remote assignments. Locations hold a type, city, country and linked tax jurisdiction. Employees link the location to their department, position, manager and payroll calendar. That gives HR and Payroll Admin a shared way to check where a worker belongs for an operating period.
Choose one regional location and one pay calendar. Import the employee population with stable identifiers, managers, positions and current leave balances. Submit a leave request with actual start and end dates, then have the named approver make a decision. Enter a timesheet containing regular and overtime work and check its entries against the weekly total. Prepare a pay run for that calendar and inspect statements before approval.
When multiple locations use different jurisdictions, agree the owner of each jurisdiction record and filing outcome. A location assignment, payroll calendar and tax jurisdiction should be checked together for a sample employee before extending the setup to further offices. Keep access scoped to the roles that actually need the person, pay or dependent information.
