What you can do
Payroll and benefits in daily work
Payroll Admin organizes pay by calendar, legal entity, country, currency and period. A run links to employee statements, and each statement has lines for earnings, deductions, taxes and employer amounts. Benefit enrollments connect employees to plans and effective coverage. Filing records keep their due dates, amounts, jurisdictions and status linked to runs.
Payroll Admin chooses a calendar and period, then compares run totals with employee statements and their earning, deduction and tax lines. Benefit enrollments connect a person to a plan and effective coverage. Tax filings retain due dates and jurisdictions. Admin manages benefit records and approves a pending run after Payroll Admin completes the reconciliation.
How the work is organized
- Prepare a period. Payroll Admin checks calendar, country, currency and cutoff before creating the run.
- Reconcile statements. Payroll Admin compares gross and net totals with each statement and its lines.
- Approve and record. Admin approves the pending run; Payroll Admin follows posting, payment and filing states.
What to agree during setup
Agree each calendar cutoff, eligible population, benefit effective dates and who approves a run before posting. Reconcile gross and net totals with statement lines. Define how bank payment and government remittance confirmations return to the team.
Identify the eligible employees and effective benefit enrollments for each calendar. Agree who confirms the actual payment and filing outside the app. Keep a correction run tied to its pay period rather than rewriting an earlier paid statement. Admin should review the pending totals using the same period Payroll Admin used for the statement reconciliation.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Payroll Admin prepares a regular run after the cutoff. They compare included employees, statement gross and deductions, and the net total. The approver reviews the pending run before it moves to posted and paid. A later correction uses its own run type and remains traceable to the relevant period.
Payroll Admin opens Payroll approval queue and checks the run number, calendar, period and net total. Admin compares the same run with its statements before deciding. If a line uses the wrong jurisdiction, Payroll Admin corrects it and recalculates the totals before the decision. The paid state follows confirmed disbursement rather than serving as proof that the bank sent funds.
