What you can do
Recruiting in daily work
Recruiter works from an open requisition to a candidate application and an offer. The requisition carries headcount, position, department and recruiter. Applications carry the stage, while interviews hold schedule, rating, recommendation and feedback. An offer carries compensation, start date and approval state. These records keep the hiring decision tied to the seat being filled.
A recruiter starts with an open requisition and links each application to that opening and a candidate. Interviews record a scheduled time, feedback and a recommendation. The offer holds the proposed pay, start date and approval state. The hiring manager can read the pipeline but only Recruiter and Admin can change the recruiting records.
How the work is organized
- Open the seat. Admin checks the position and headcount before the requisition moves to Open.
- Assess a candidate. Recruiter links the application and checks completed interview feedback before advancing its stage.
- Review pay. Admin checks the offer against the position pay grade before it is sent.
What to agree during setup
Agree who may open a requisition, who reviews compensation and how an interviewer records a recommendation. Set the salary range and position before candidates advance. Keep duplicate candidates and applications under review when sourcing through more than one channel.
Name the person who checks a requisition outside the headcount plan. Set the position pay grade before preparing an offer. Recruiter should resolve duplicate candidate matches and repeat applications before moving the case forward. Hiring Manager can review the pipeline with Recruiter, while Admin records approval decisions that require write access.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A candidate applies for an open position. Recruiter links the candidate once, records the application, and checks the completed interview recommendation before advancing its stage. The offer is reviewed against the position pay grade before it is sent. An accepted offer then informs the employee and onboarding records.
Recruiter finds the application in Candidate pipeline and compares its stage with the completed interview recommendation. Admin checks the offer amount against the position pay grade and records the decision. Recruiter then checks whether the offer is ready to send. If the candidate already has an application against the same requisition, resolve that record before creating another.
