Systems to connect
- Payment provider. Plan external payment confirmation for a payroll run or expense. Payroll and the request owner compare the returned reference and amount with the internal case.
- Benefit carrier. Plan enrollment exchange with a carrier using the employee, plan, coverage tier and effective dates as source context.
- Tax service. Plan a tax calculation or filing connection, then compare returned results with the payroll period and filing record.
- Recruiting sources. Plan incoming applications from recruiting channels and retain their recorded source.
- Electronic signature. Plan a signature handoff and record any confirmed result on the offer.
How connections are governed
Name an owner for each connection, define its source record and retain the external reference on an internal record that has a place for it, such as the request reconciliation or tax filing. Keep other confirmations with the connection owner. Review failed or delayed results before treating a status as complete. Keep employee access scoped to their own records when connected services return personal information. See the implementation sequence.
