Multi-location employers
Teams with multi-location employers need a shared answer to who works where, who reports to whom and which work needs a decision. The employee register anchors the current picture; linked records explain how that picture changed.
How HRMS with Org Chart is set up for you
Organization
Use Locations with office, remote, field and hybrid types. Check each employee's department and manager before comparing sites.
Decisions
Review the source status and named owner before acting on a queue. A submitted request and an approved one have different operating meaning.
Evidence
Keep the dated employee event, request or run that explains a current result. A summary is most useful when someone can inspect the underlying record.
Teams with multi-location employers need a shared answer to who works where, who reports to whom and which work needs a decision. The employee register anchors the current picture; linked records explain how that picture changed.
Start with one country, one payroll calendar and a representative department. Reconcile employee status, location and the linked tax jurisdiction before adding more sites. Use the Employees page to check workforce distribution and individual employee detail against the chosen population. Review the department parent, position reporting relationship and employee manager together.
For the first operating cycle, name the person who enters each record and the person who makes each decision. Walk through a normal case and an exception. For example, a position can be Open while its requisition is still pending approval; the team should know which owner resolves that difference. A leave request can be Approved while the balance is dated earlier; compare the dates before drawing a conclusion.
