Click Get started to enter Kitting & Assembly. Use Proto to configure the operating scope with your warehouse and finance owners. Choose one organization and warehouse for the first cycle, then name who prepares records and who approves release and cost exceptions.

Prepare the first operating cycle

Bring one real finished kit and its components. Set the output stock item, base unit, bill lines, routing steps and standard cost. Add the relevant supplier and dealer. Map actual receiving, production and finished stock locations. Load a small dealer order, prepare the work order and check component availability before requesting release.

Rehearse a partial receipt and an operation with scrap. The team should be able to see accepted component stock, the exact issue, submitted production evidence and accepted output. Prepare a shipment for the finished portion and record what the dealer actually receives. See implementation for the sequence.

Review before release

Compare the work order’s planned quantity with required and issued components, good and scrap quantities, and posted finished output. Check actual work in process against standard output value. Confirm the shipment is bounded by available kits and remaining dealer demand. Review the relevant decisions with Warehouse Manager and Finance Manager, then expand to the next product.
