What you can do
Keep one parcel, its owner and its current decision in view.
The operator starts with the parcel number and identifier, assigns an organization and owner, and selects the governing landowner definition. The status board leads into the Acquisition Parcels Workspace, where choosing a parcel brings its checks, current review decision, state history and operation trace into one work area. The parcel milestone date tells the team when to revisit it.
A parcel can share a name with another acquisition area, so the operator should use its number and parcel identifier at every handoff. The organization and owner identify who is responsible for the current record. A reviewer opens the selected parcel to compare its status and revision with the linked checks before recording a decision. Earlier state changes remain visible when the case moves forward.
How the work is organized
- Identify the case. Record its number and parcel identifier before connecting other work.
- Assign ownership. Choose the organization and named owner responsible for the next milestone.
- Read the status trail. Compare the selected revision with its history before changing the parcel.
What to agree during setup
Agree how the organization, parcel identifier and landowner definition are assigned at intake. Decide who can change the owner and how duplicate numbers are handled before live entry begins. An example intake is a parcel opened as Draft for one organization and assigned to a named operator. That operator records the number and milestone date before asking anyone to review supporting evidence.
Agree when the operator changes a parcel from Draft to Submitted and what the reviewer should see at that point. A returned decision needs a reason attached to its original revision. Rehearse a corrected parcel with the same number so the team can distinguish a new revision from the earlier decision without searching email.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Follow that parcel from Draft to Submitted, then open the selected workspace. The selected parcel should show its linked checks and pending decision alongside the revision being considered. If the reviewer returns it, the operator can see the reason and make a successor revision without treating the prior decision as a decision on the new content.
The receiving reviewer should be able to state the parcel number, owner and submitted revision before opening its supporting checks. If an operator changes an attachment after review, compare the new revision with the decision already recorded. The status board should lead back to the selected case and its history, not leave the team relying on a status label alone.
