How a Last-mile Delivery Platform rollout works

Pilot a delivery lane with named decision owners and real exception cases.

  1. Define scope

Choose an operating organization, a delivery area, a transport partner and the team that will own the pilot. Agree what qualifies as a planned or dispatched load.

  2. Prepare records

Bring in team membership, partner contacts, drivers, vehicles and defects. Check eligibility dates, readiness labels and time zones.

  3. Model work

Enter representative loads, stop sequence and appointment windows. Assign a driver and vehicle across a committed interval.

  4. Rehearse proof

Record arrival and departure at the earliest visit, submit a custody handoff, obtain a human decision and complete a delivery stop with proof.

  5. Rehearse recovery

Test a rejected handoff, a late delivery, a vehicle defect, a load exception and a failed operation receipt. Record who makes each correction.

  6. Review release

Compare the load promise with actual delivery, inspect evidence and verify role access before widening the operating area.

What the customer provides

Provide the operating organization, team owners, partner contacts, driver authority source, fleet identifiers and representative appointment windows. Decide which proof forms are acceptable and who may approve a custody handoff. Identify the source of shipment weight for capacity checks and the systems that govern warehouse release or customer messaging. Bring sample exception and failed-action cases to the rehearsal.

Changing it afterwards

Review role access, partner eligibility and fleet readiness when people or contracts change. Keep the decision reason and source revision when correcting an exception. Recheck connected systems after changes to an operation key, message trigger or external authority. Use the data model for record mapping and the process pages for operating rehearsals.
