Systems to connect
- Instrument or monitoring system. Set up a connection when condition readings should arrive from an external source. Agree the asset identity, metric, unit, measurement time and source identity before accepting readings into the maintenance review process.
- Accounting or procurement system. Connect the financial owner of supplier orders, invoices or payments when purchasing needs that handoff. Agree the purchase identity, vendor and amount mapping and who reconciles delivery changes.
- Inventory system. Define a connection if another system owns stock quantities. Agree part units, consumption references and the treatment of receipts and corrections before the maintenance team depends on the recorded quantity.
- Production or building operations system. Arrange a connection when maintenance windows need operating-schedule context. Keep the responsible operations team involved in deciding when equipment is available for work.
How connections are governed
Name the owner of each source record and the person who resolves a failed handoff. Test a repeated delivery and confirm that it does not create a duplicate maintenance request or duplicate observation. Preserve the original measurement time separately from the time a reading is received.
Use the source work order or purchase order for current operating details. The app’s shared order register creates links for new orders; agree a separate historical reconciliation when bringing older orders into that register. Rehearse each connection with the Maintenance Manager before broadening the pilot in implementation.
