How a Manufacturing Analytics rollout works

Pilot one production window from observation to reviewed result.

  1. Agree the measure

Name the operating unit, production date rule, time and unit definitions, source system and responsible people.

  2. Map the source

Create organization and production resource records, source mappings and a reviewed metric definition.

  3. Prepare a bounded pilot

Load a source capture, production snapshots and their linked observations for a short period.

  4. Rehearse operations

Invoke validation and efficiency computation from the workspace. Check operation keys, steps, source revision and persisted fields.

  5. Review and release

Have a separate reviewer record a decision, then reconcile the displayed result with source evidence. Assign and close a follow-up for a questioned case.

What the customer provides

  • Named organizations, people, owners and review responsibilities.
  • Production dates, stable source IDs, observed time and unit measures.
  • Source-system field definitions, capture windows and reconciliation samples.
  • Agreed metric rules, units, effective dates and acceptance thresholds.

Changing it afterwards

Review a changed mapping or definition with the Metric Steward and Independent Reviewer. Keep earlier versions available for old results. Rehearse the change on a source with known inputs, inspect the operation run and check the resulting source revision and reviewer decision. Record corrections in the appropriate source and history rather than losing the original evidence. Get started with a small operating window.
