How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Material Requirement Planning for your business. Pilot an approved customer requirement with reserved stock, a partly received purchase and production work the planner can review. Reconcile that window before expanding the scope.

Which customer demand enters MRP?

Planning uses item lines from customer orders marked Approved or Released and required by the run’s horizon end. Check the customer required date and actual line quantities before starting. Draft, Fulfilled and Cancelled orders remain outside that demand population.

What supply does the run consider?

It considers on-hand less reserved stock, open production dated by planned end, open purchase quantities dated by the purchase due date, and suggestions marked Proposed or Firmed. Review current quantities and dates with their owners before accepting coverage.

What happens when we run planning again?

MRP considers existing Proposed and Firmed suggestions so repeated planning accounts for the quantity already suggested. Rehearse with the same demand and supply population, then compare the result after arranging the actual commitment and changing the suggestion’s state.

How do we investigate an engineering-related exception?

Follow the affected item and customer requirement, then obtain engineering or lead-time evidence through the source connection agreed during setup. Production Planner checks the correction before recording the resolution date and reviewing the requirement again.

When do we turn a suggestion into a commitment?

Production Planner reviews the make or buy choice, quantity and dates, then prepares the actual purchase or work order. Check that document against the requirement before marking the suggestion Released. Configure Manager’s purchasing approval responsibility and use the guarded production release path for Make.

How are production work orders released?

Production Planner authorizes eligible Draft work through the guarded, idempotent release workflow. Check its recorded operation identity and release person and date. An identical repeated request retains the existing release effect.

Who records the production outcome?

Production Operator captures permitted operating logs and material issues. Quality Reviewer reads the evidence and communicates findings. Production Planner maintains work orders and batch disposition, keeping Held or Rejected batches visible during outcome review.

How does warehouse stock stay current?

Set up the warehouse connection with the stock owner and agree how on-hand quantities and reservations reach planning. Reconcile physical receipts, material issues and corrections with that source before accepting the next stock snapshot.

How do we review planned production dates?

Compare the work order’s planned start and end with resource availability and the shop’s scheduling arrangements. Production Planner reviews the material situation and asks the resource owner to confirm the interval before making a delivery commitment.

What do we configure during the pilot?

Agree role access, approval responsibilities, personal screens and report layouts. Check staff account mappings and source quantities, then rehearse repeated planning and guarded release with ordinary accounts. See the implementation plan and pricing.
