Discrete assembly teams
Assembly teams need component coverage before committing a customer delivery date. Material Requirement Planning lets Production Planner compare approved customer demand with stock after reservations and dated incoming supply. Pegged requirements help the team follow a component need back to the customer line and discuss what still needs to be arranged.
How Material Requirement Planning is set up for you
Check the customer promise
Review the approved order quantity and required date before choosing the planning horizon. Keep Draft requests outside the current demand population until the agreed approval decision occurs.
Explain the component need
Follow the pegged customer line, component quantity and need date. Agree engineering inputs through a connection to the source owner and review that evidence when investigating a requirement.
Review current purchases
Compare the remaining quantity after receipts with the supplier due date. A partial delivery changes what is still expected for the assembly.
Keep production evidence visible
Production Operator records operating quantities and material issues. Quality Reviewer reads the evidence, and Production Planner maintains work-order progress and batch disposition.

Pegged requirements help the team follow a component need back to the customer line and discuss what still needs to be arranged.
Choose a pump assembly with an Approved customer order, reserved components and a partly received purchase. Set a horizon covering the customer date. Review the stock available after reservations and check the purchase quantity still expected before accepting a suggested supply quantity.
Repeat planning while the suggestion is Firmed, then reconcile it with the actual purchase or production commitment. For the Make path, prepare an eligible Draft work order and rehearse guarded release, including an identical repeated request. Review a batch marked Held alongside the production result and keep its disposition in the next supply discussion. Assign Manager's approval responsibilities during setup and check them with ordinary accounts.
