How a Petty Cash Management rollout works

Set up organizations, accounts, custody rules and a complete review rehearsal.

  1. Set the operating scope

Choose the organization, finance owners, custodians and first purchase type for the pilot.

  2. Prepare the records

Add team membership, partners, ledger accounts and an open accounting period.

  3. Agree evidence

Decide what the custodian sends, how the receipt is attached and when a voucher moves to Submitted.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Have a preparer and a separate reviewer work through voucher and document approval, including a rejected case.

  5. Check posting and exceptions

Follow an approved document into a balanced journal and inspect its operation receipt and Operations Overview result.

What the customer provides

Provide the entity names and currencies, team members, active partners, account codes and period dates. Choose the person who holds petty cash and the person who receives the receipts. Bring one normal purchase and one discrepant receipt for the rehearsal. If a cash provider or separate accounting system is involved, supply the handoff rules and an owner for each connection.

Changing it afterwards

Keep posted source and journal history traceable. When a source needs correction, use a new revision or a recorded reversal path appropriate to its status. Review membership and partner records as people or suppliers change. Check the operation exception queue before repeating an interrupted action. See roles and get started.
