What you can do
Team and Time in daily delivery
See team capacity and turn worked hours into reviewed project time. Team members carry a practice, role and weekly capacity. A contributor logs a dated time entry with positive hours, project, optional task and billable choice. Submitted entries reach the approval list. The configured approval workflow moves a valid submitted entry to Approved and records a review decision and operation receipt.
How the work is organized
- Plan from real capacity. Compare each team member’s weekly capacity with assigned estimates and logged hours.
- Keep time with work. Enter a work date, positive hours, project and team member; link a task when relevant.
- Inspect approval evidence. A valid Submitted entry becomes Approved and gains a decision and operation receipt.
A designer spends part of Tuesday on a client concept task. They log the work against the project, choose Billable and submit it. The workflow checks the submitted hours; approval leaves a decision and receipt that the delivery lead can inspect. Approved billable time is available for a downstream billing process.
What to agree during setup
Agree who reviews automatically approved time, what counts as billable, and when contributors submit. Confirm that the project and team member exist before importing entries. Capacity is a planning value; compare it with assigned estimates and logged hours before changing assignments. Agree which work is Billable and when contributors submit entries. Name who reviews the recorded approval result; the workflow itself makes the valid approval. Compare capacity with assigned estimates before shifting tasks, and check project and team member references before importing time.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Submit a positive-hours entry and confirm the approval record and receipt are tied to the same subject. Rehearse a zero-hour attempt and a changed-status attempt; neither should approve the entry. Check that the submitted list clears only for a successful approval and that the contributor can still find their own entry. Submit positive hours for one project and confirm the approval decision and receipt refer to that entry. Try zero hours and an entry that has left Submitted; neither should gain an approval decision. Review the failed receipt and confirm the submitted list reflects only entries still awaiting approval.
