How a Project Management rollout works

Start with a real initiative, check access and dates, then widen the operating scope.

  1. Choose the pilot

Select an active project with a named owner, manager, team and meaningful target date.

  2. Set up the people

Prepare users, teams and project membership; test each person's access.

  3. Build the plan

Add tasks, dependencies, assignments and milestones from the current agreed work.

  4. Run a cycle

Have contributors update tasks, discuss work, attach a deliverable and record time.

  5. Review the result

Prepare a project status update, compare it with task and milestone states, and share it with a Viewer.

What the customer provides

Bring the current project plan, people responsible for each deliverable, target dates, existing milestone commitments and the reporting period the sponsor expects. Identify the person who can decide changes to scope or target date. If a template is useful, supply an example project whose work sequence is worth repeating.

Changing it afterwards

A changed target date should lead to a check of dependent tasks and milestones. A new team member needs both an app account and the right project participation. Keep prior status updates readable as a dated account of what the manager knew and decided at the time.
