How a Risk Management rollout works

Start with one project and rehearse its risk, review and approval decisions.

  1. Set ownership

Name the Project Manager, Risk Owner, Delivery Lead, Time Approver and Evidence Reviewer for the pilot project. Establish access before entering sensitive work.

  2. Load context

Add the organization, project, team members, work package and current tasks. Confirm that dates and owners represent the actual delivery plan.

  3. Review exposure

Enter active risks with categories, likelihood, impact and mitigation. Schedule a checkpoint that will lead to a real decision.

  4. Rehearse exceptions

Triage an Open issue with severity, then try a missing-severity case. Submit positive hours, then try an invalid entry. Inspect both successful and failed receipts.

  5. Open the cycle

Review the risk assessment, blocked work, checkpoint outcome and time decision with the named owners. Expand after the records tell a consistent story.

What the customer provides

Provide the current project plan, team ownership, risk list and the dates of expected reviews. Identify who reviews time approval results and who verifies fixes. Supply file access rules if attachments will point to a document system.

Changing it afterwards

Reassess a risk when project conditions change. Record a new checkpoint outcome rather than overwriting an earlier Missed review. Check references before changing project or task ownership so earlier decisions remain understandable. Start the pilot with a case your team already knows.
