Integrations

Decide how project files and external planning data will connect.

  • Risk Management
  • Document storage
  • Project planning
  • Finance or time systems

Systems to connect

  • Document storage. Map file links into record attachments and confirm that a person allowed to open the record can open the underlying file.
  • Project planning. If project or task data originates elsewhere, agree on the owner of changes and a stable project reference before synchronizing records.
  • Finance or time systems. If approved hours need to move to another system, agree how the receiving system acknowledges the same entry and how corrections are handled.

How connections are governed

Name the system that owns each value. Avoid accepting a repeated external event as a new project action without checking its reference. Review permissions on both sides of a file or data connection. For the first operating cycle, trace one project, one risk and one submitted time entry across any connection before expanding the scope. Implementation planning sets the rehearsal sequence.
