- Implementation
How a 3PL SCM rollout works
Set up a client stock pilot and test review and correction.
Set client scope
Create the client organization, staff membership, item and storage location.
Prepare request work
Agree the request details, attachment evidence and owner assignment.
Separate decisions
Assign an Inventory Reviewer independent of the preparer. Rehearse approval and rejection.
Run the physical path
Reserve eligible free stock and confirm an issue once.
Reconcile exceptions
Test a repeated operation key, stale revision, ineligible lot and compensating movement.
Expand by client
Review organization boundaries and access before adding another client or site.
What the customer provides
Provide organization codes, active items and base units, storage site contacts and eligibility notes, member assignments, released lot evidence and one realistic request. Supply support for billable pallet days and contract rate. Name the people who prepare work, decide it and reconcile uncertain outcomes. Identify any external source and financial system that must confirm references.
Changing it afterwards
Recheck permissions, client scope and source mappings when a new site or client is added. A changed request revision needs a fresh decision. Correct posted quantity through a linked compensating movement and retain its original effect. Use roles and the data model during each change review.
