OEM parts network

A parts network coordinating named depots can keep each request tied to an organization and location while Inventory Reviewer sees the exact revision being approved. The operating records keep part identity, location, owner and decision together so the next person can understand how the quantity was handled.

How Automotive Parts SCM is set up for you

Start with a real request

A central depot requests an inspected replacement assembly for another site. Inventory Coordinator selects the part and counterparty location, then keeps the decision and movement with the case.

Keep part identity clear

Use the item SKU and base unit on the case; use the vehicle model, model year and OEM reference in a separate fitment check when compatibility is part of the decision.

Check the eligible quantity

A reservation identifies the exact item and location, and can identify a lot. A posted movement records the signed quantity that actually changed stock.

Retain the decision

Inventory Reviewer records a decision and reason against the request revision. An operation receipt links an attempted action to its recorded effect for later reconciliation.

Choose one organization, a few active locations and a representative SKU with its lot policy. Rehearse a normal request and one exception involving a blocked lot, changed revision or receipt needing review. Let the Inventory Coordinator prepare the case, the Inventory Reviewer decide on the submitted revision and the Auditor trace the outcome. Extend to more sites only after the team agrees how location ownership and review authority work.
