How a Cross-border Trade SCM rollout works

Set up organizations, purchase review and customs handoffs with a real case.

  1. Agree the operating case

Pick an organization, an active supplier and one purchase with a clear owner and required date.

  2. Prepare the records

Add team members, supplier details, purchase lines and the supporting attachments people need to make decisions.

  3. Rehearse review

Have the Buyer submit a specific revision and the Trade Reviewer record a decision and reason against it.

  4. Rehearse the order and declaration

Add the order reference, accepted quantities, invoice references, entry number, HS code, duty and filing date.

  5. Inspect exceptions

Open a rejected decision, a rejected declaration and an operation result needing review. Assign the next action to a named person.

What the customer provides

Bring organization and supplier identifiers, team membership, a real purchase example, classification and filing references, and the documents the reviewer expects to see. Decide who can mark an attachment Shared and who checks the external customs decision. Identify the finance and goods receipt systems that will supply or consume references.

Changing it afterwards

When the purchasing or customs process changes, update the role handoff and rehearse it with the same linked case. Check the revision attached to each decision before relying on older review history. Keep new reporting questions tied to fields the team actually records. See the data model and roles for the record and access map.
