- Marketplace sellers
Marketplace sellers
Marketplace sellers receive orders from channels while suppliers fulfill them. The customer order's channel and external order ID give staff a way to trace the originating sale. The order owner, customer and promised date provide the operational context for a supplier route.
How Dropshipping SCM is set up for you
Channel references
Keep the source order ID on the customer order and agree how repeated source messages are investigated.
Supplier handoff
Review a route against the current order revision, then retain the supplier reference and acknowledgement.
Delivery evidence
Read actual shipment and delivery events by product instead of treating a supplier acknowledgement as delivery.
Marketplace sellers receive orders from channels while suppliers fulfill them. The customer order's channel and external order ID give staff a way to trace the originating sale. The order owner, customer and promised date provide the operational context for a supplier route.
Start with one operating organization, one channel and a small product range. Load the customer records and map each channel SKU to the product master. Run a confirmed order with two lines through routing review, then simulate a partial shipment and a return. Ask the operations owner to reconcile the order state, line quantities and dated events before expanding to more channels. Include a duplicate external order ID and a delayed supplier response in the rehearsal.
For the first daily review, ask the Order Coordinator to read the open-order queue beside supplier routing alerts. Confirm that the marketplace reference identifies the same order in both places. A route awaiting review should have a named reviewer; a route with an acknowledgement should still be checked for separate shipment evidence.
