Multi-site warehouse teams
A company operating storage locations across several organizations can keep each request tied to its own organization, item and team. Stock requests are the common case record. A location, item and owner connect the proposed work to the team that will carry it out. Decisions and operation receipts make later inspection possible without reconstructing the story from separate messages.
How Warehousing SCM is set up for you
Operating scope
Use organization codes and location addresses consistently. Assign owners who belong to the intended operating entity. Review requests by due date before planning work across locations.
Request ownership
Record the request number, subject, due date and owner before another person reviews the work.
Decision trail
Keep the plan, reviewer decision and evidence linked to the parent request so a change of shift does not hide the reason for a choice.

A location, item and owner connect the proposed work to the team that will carry it out. Decisions and operation receipts make later inspection possible without reconstructing the story from separate messages.
Start with one organization and a small set of active locations. Enter an item, a member and a request for a real transfer. Check that the location and item belong to the intended scope before expanding to other sites. Use the Operations Overview to inspect the current workload and exceptions, then open the underlying records for the actual case. Agree how the team names locations and who may change item or membership setup. A pilot should cover one normal decision and one correction so everyone sees where the original record remains available.
When the pilot ends, compare each request with its linked plan, decision, attachment and stock effect where applicable. Keep the names used by operators aligned with the physical labels they see at a location. The [implementation guide](/scm-for-warehousing/implementation) gives a sequence for bringing these records into use.
