Who it's for

Component manufacturers

Component manufacturers need a clear answer when the floor asks which job should run next and whether its material is ready. Shop Floor Control connects the customer order to a work order, the selected resource and the operator's production report. The planner can explain the intended quantity while the reviewer can follow accepted output back to its lot and job.

How Shop Floor Control is set up for you

Machine-based work

Use the resource and planned window to prepare the production decision. Confirm that the machine is Available before release and review operator assignments when a job changes station or shift.

Material readiness

Check the material lot's on-hand and reserved quantities before issuing it. A component run may be ready from a customer perspective while its usable stock still needs attention.

Output reconciliation

Record good and scrap units separately, then carry the completed output to batch review. This lets the team discuss the run's result without treating every reported unit as an accepted receipt.

Component manufacturers need a clear answer when the floor asks which job should run next and whether its material is ready. Shop Floor Control connects the customer order to a work order, the selected resource and the operator's production report. The planner can explain the intended quantity while the reviewer can follow accepted output back to its lot and job.

Start with a familiar component, its normal production resource and an approved customer order. For example, use a bracket run with a target of 120 pieces and an identified material lot. Rehearse release while the resource is in Maintenance, correct the station choice, and assign the operator for the intended interval. Post a material issue only after checking the free stock.

Record the resulting good and scrap quantities and ask Quality Reviewer to decide the batch disposition. Verify the accepted receipt and discuss any remaining work with Production Planner. Before expanding to other products, agree lot naming, unit conventions and the correction procedure for a wrong issue. Connect detailed machine telemetry or accounting separately when those systems need production results.
