How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Smart Meter Data Platform for your business. Begin with a representative service case, source interval and traceable evidence. Name the coordinator and independent supervisor, agree meter identity and quality conventions, then rehearse acceptance and its failure cases.
What does an interval record contain?
It records the meter identity, interval end, energy value and quality flag alongside its service case, organization and revision. Review and completion states distinguish preparation, submitted work and the accepted outcome.
How are duplicate intervals handled?
The guarded acceptance action rejects duplicate intervals. Agree the meter and time convention used to recognize the same source interval, then test duplicates during setup. Inspect the existing receipt when an action result is uncertain.
What happens to estimated readings?
They remain visibly distinct through the original quality designation. The supervisor reviews them under the agreed acceptance policy. Preserve that distinction in accepted-energy analysis and use controlled correction when later evidence changes accepted scope.
Who approves the reading?
Authorized Utility Supervisor independently reviews the intended revision through guarded workflows. Utility Coordinator prepares the work and executes eligible reviewed actions. Administrative membership does not confer business approval authority.
How do we identify the right decision?
Follow the action’s subject, revision and operation references to the actual interval. Several readings can share a service case, so matching the parent case alone is insufficient to establish that the decision covers the intended reading.
Does an accepted interval close its service case?
No. Restoration requires authorized field confirmation and reconciled affected scope, and case closure follows evidence review. The interval’s acceptance result remains distinct from the operational case outcome.
What happens if restoration covers only part of the scope?
The guarded restoration action refuses partial scope. Keep the outstanding work visible, resolve the confirmation and present the current case revision with the required evidence before requesting the complete outcome.
How are accepted readings corrected?
The owner requests correction against the current case and related evidence. Accepted or executed scope requires an independently approved compensating action that preserves the original records. Unexecuted draft scope follows the authorized cancellation path.
How do we connect AMI or downstream systems?
Configure source identities, quality vocabulary and permitted transfers with the systems your organization uses. Retain external references and confirm receiving-system outcomes separately. Start with connection setup and rehearse duplicate or uncertain results before release.
