What you can do
Turn conversations into dated work
An activity records a subject, type, due date, completion date, outcome and status for work tied to an opportunity. An attachment stores a title, kind, URL and notes for evidence attached to an opportunity or creator attribution. An operation receipt records a key, time, type, status and evidence summary. These records serve different purposes: a task says what should happen, an attachment carries support, and a receipt confirms the result of an action.
The manager or coordinator opens an activity after a partner call or creator follow-up. A due date lets the command page surface overdue work. When the activity is finished, the owner records an outcome and completion date. When qualification, proposal submission or outcome closure runs, the corresponding receipt can be checked for Succeeded, Failed or Needs Review. A failed receipt deserves investigation before another action is treated as complete.
How the work is organized
- Named owner. Creator Coordinator handles creator follow-up. Partner Manager handles partner activity. Sales Operations inspects operation exceptions.
- Linked record. Keep the work tied to its parent opportunity and organization so a later reviewer can follow the case.
- Separate evidence. An activity outcome explains follow-up, an attachment supplies support and a receipt records the action result.
What to agree during setup
Agree who owns creator follow-up, when a due date is mandatory in practice and how a cancelled activity differs from a completed one. Decide where to keep source documents and which attachments are acceptable as evidence. Assign Sales Operations to inspect receipt exceptions and route them to the person who performed the action. Agree whether the activity owner or the commercial owner follows up when an attachment is missing. Keep the receipt key with any investigation so a repeat attempt is not mistaken for a new result.
Check the handoff on an actual case
After a creator promises an order report, the coordinator records a Task due Friday against the opportunity. Friday passes without the report, so the item appears in Overdue follow-up. The coordinator contacts the creator, attaches the report link and completes the task with an outcome. The attribution reviewer can see the evidence. If a proposal operation receipt says Needs Review, Sales Operations checks the logged email and opportunity before treating that submission as finished.
