What you can do

Give every exception a next owner

Follow up actions connects a title, due date, status and assigned person to a social profile. The Evidence Coordinator can use it when a snapshot is stale, a post fact awaits support or a reviewer returns a revision. The action keeps the resolution and completion time with the source property so later readers can see what was done.

The Social Media Analytics Overview includes an overdue follow-up queue. Analytics Leads can see which unresolved items need attention before accepting a report discussion. The queue is useful only if the due date and assigned person are maintained as the work changes hands.

How the work is organized

  • Assignment. The action points to the measured profile and responsible person.
  • Progress. Open and in progress distinguish queued work from an active investigation.
  • Closure. Completed records the resolution and completion time; Cancelled requires a clear explanation.

What to agree during setup

Define when a review finding becomes an action and who sets the due date. A returned revision might need a corrected source reference, a new snapshot or a verified document. Give the assignee enough context in the title and related profile to find the underlying question. Decide who checks the resolution before the action becomes Completed.

Also decide when an item may be Cancelled. A cancellation should explain why the issue no longer needs work, especially if it arose from a review decision. Profile publication policy should state whether any Open or in progress action blocks the result. This is a business decision for the Analytics Lead and reviewer to apply consistently.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use a profile whose snapshot coverage does not match an observation window. The reviewer returns the revision with a reason. The coordinator assigns an action to the analyst, gives it a due date and links it to the same profile. The analyst finds the source, records a replacement snapshot or clarifies the reading, then records the resolution and completion time.

Ask the Analytics Lead to inspect the overdue view while the action remains Open and confirm it leaves that queue after closure. The source profile, assignee and decision should still make sense. A closed action is evidence of corrective work; it does not by itself change the review decision on a revision.

What your team sees

  • Open Follow-Ups — See assigned corrective work still awaiting resolution.
  • Overdue Follow-Ups — Find dated actions that need a status and resolution check.

Follow the work through

Use revision review to understand the decision that raised the issue and profile measurement to review to see the full property lifecycle.
