What you can do
Give each property an accountable owner
A social profile is the working record for a measured property. The Profile Owner selects the organization, owner and channel definition, then records the source identity and profile date. That combination gives reviewers a clear answer when similar account names appear in several channels. The profile’s status shows whether the team is configuring it, collecting observations, validating evidence, analyzing performance or publishing the reviewed result.
The Social Media Analytics Overview gives the Analytics Lead a way to scan status mix, reviewed results and overdue follow-up work. A profile opened from that overview should lead back to its source reference and responsible person. Keeping the owner current matters when a channel changes hands during the reporting period.
How the work is organized
- Ownership. The Profile Owner keeps the measured property, organization and channel definition aligned.
- Lifecycle. Status records progress from Configured through Published; state history retains prior transitions.
- Provenance. Workspace refresh records an operation run and numbered step against the source revision.
What to agree during setup
Decide what one profile represents in your business. An organization might distinguish regional properties, separate channels or different consent scopes. Use the channel definition and source record identity consistently so a later snapshot can be traced to the same measured property. Decide who is allowed to move a profile from validation into analysis and who reviews the underlying revision.
Set a practical revision rule before people make corrections. A changed source should retain its earlier decision and state history. The new revision should be recognizable from its number and source record, especially when an older result has already been discussed in a meeting. Agree when a follow-up action must be completed before publication.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Take one property with a named owner and an existing channel definition. Enter its source record identity, date and consent basis. Add a post fact and a source snapshot for the same reporting window. Run the workspace refresh and inspect the operation run, frozen revision and numbered step. The refresh receipt documents that action; the team still reviews the observations and evidence before a decision.
Ask a second person to find the profile from its number, identify its owner and find the related review decision. Change a fact in a controlled rehearsal and check that the earlier revision’s decision remains understandable. That is the point at which the profile workspace becomes useful for audit and correction, not just browsing.
What your team sees
- Profiles by Status — Find each measured property with its owner, definition and current lifecycle state.
- My Profiles — Let the assigned owner review dated profile work.
- Profile Lifecycle Board — Group properties by the current status without hiding ownership.
Follow the work through
Start with profile measurement to review, then use revision review when the source is ready for an independent decision.
