Systems to connect

  • Broker and execution providers. Submit authorized instructions and orders, and bring back order IDs, executions and evidence lines with their provider IDs.

  • Custodians. Bring in position snapshots and confirm account IDs for each trading account.

  • Market data and charting. Prices, charts and watchlists stay in your market data tools; mark prices arrive with the custodian’s snapshot.

  • Accounting and portfolio systems. Send confirmed executions, fees and positions onward for books and performance.

  • Identity provider. Map traders, reviewers and analysts to user accounts so every action shows who took it.

How connections are governed

Each connection needs an agreed source of truth, a field mapping, an event identifier and a retry policy. Keep credentials in the approved secret store with the smallest scope that works. A repeated delivery must not create a second execution, evidence line or snapshot. Rejected records wait in a queue with the original identifier and a visible reason.

Reconcile executions and positions with each provider daily during the pilot. Test a duplicate execution message, a late reversal and a revoked credential before turning on schedules. Availability depends on each provider’s interface, commercial access and configuration.

Use the implementation plan to agree integration acceptance criteria.
