What you can do
Sell plans with clear allowances
Membership plans are the packages you sell: a name, a price, a session allowance and how many days the plan is valid. A member enrols in a plan with a start and expiry date, and the enrolment is active, paused, expired or cancelled. Each delivered session updates the member’s active plan, so the allowance used stays accurate without manual counting.
Because plans and enrolments are separate records, you can change what you sell without rewriting what members already hold. A price rise applies to new enrolments; existing members keep the plan they bought until it expires.
How the work is organized
The salon manager defines plans; the front desk enrols members.
- Allowance and validity on the plan. Every plan states its sessions and days.
- Enrolment per member. Each member’s plan has its own start, expiry and status.
- Allowance against attendance. Attended bookings show how much of a plan has been used.
What to agree during setup
List your current plans with prices, allowances and validity. Agree how pauses affect expiry and whether unused sessions carry over. Prepare examples of a ten-session plan, an unlimited monthly plan, a paused plan and an expired plan with sessions left.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A member buys a ten-session plan valid for ninety days. Each check-in is recorded as attendance on her booking. After her eighth session she asks how many are left; the front desk counts her attended bookings against the plan’s allowance and reads the expiry date on her live plan. When the plan expires with sessions unused, its status moves to expired and the salon’s carry-over rule decides what happens next.
The manager later raises the price of the ten-session plan. New enrolments use the new price, while her expired plan keeps the price she paid, so the history stays correct.
Paused enrolments are just as visible, so the front desk can remind members when their pause ends.
The manager can also see which plans sell and which members renew, straight from the enrolments.
