Systems to connect

  • Production and purchasing. Set up a connection for the item reference, requested quantity and transport requirement. Agree which source can change an already planned load and how the receiving team is informed.
  • Warehouse and customer orders. Map the load and delivery-stop identities to the upstream shipment. The warehouse owner decides how confirmed transport evidence affects stock and fulfillment records.
  • Driver and telematics providers. Configure the provider account and event mapping before importing tracking updates. Retain the occurrence time, event source and load reference so a late message can be reconciled with the current journey.
  • Finance. Agree how charge approval, invoicing and payment evidence move between the transport team and the financial system. Keep amounts with their currency and reconcile each external document reference.

How connections are governed

Each connection needs an owner, an agreed field mapping and a stable source identifier. Store credentials in the approved secret store and test the account’s access before enabling scheduled work. Review a duplicate message, delayed response and changed source record with the operating owner.

After an uncertain response, compare the destination record and operation evidence before retrying an action. Define how rejected items return to the responsible team. Provider access and connector behavior are setup decisions to test in the implementation rehearsal.
