Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Tool & Die Management for your business. Name Maintenance Manager, Technician and Maintenance Reviewer for the pilot. Agree who administers access and whether permit approval is delegated to a separate issuer.
Prepare the first operating cycle
Choose a tool with a clear identity and an upcoming maintenance need. Bring its tag, current state and relevant service history. Prepare the assigned person, due date and scope, plus the permit interval where required. Confirm spare-part units and opening quantities before recording consumption.
For a sharpening case, bring the measurement instructions and release criterion. For cycle capture, agree the count convention and the format of the work-order reference. Follow implementation to reconcile records and rehearse each handoff.
Review before release
Ask Technician to start authorized work and record the actual work performed. Ask Maintenance Reviewer to inspect the sharpening evidence and decide the eligible outcome. Maintenance Manager should reconcile the case, close eligible work and check the resulting service history and asset state.
Repeat with an expired permit, a repeated start request and a rejected sharpening result. Confirm that the responsible people understand how each case is resolved. Review roles and access and pricing before extending the operating scope.
