Carrier yards
Carrier yards need to connect a visible trailer with the load it supports and the team responsible for its next movement. Equipment may stay across shifts while drivers and trucks change assignments. Trailer Tracking System gives yard staff a visit record for the asset and gives Dispatcher the linked load context. Each team can follow the same case without relying on a parking description alone.
How Trailer Tracking System is set up for you
Recognizable equipment
Fleet Coordinator maintains trailer unit numbers, plates and organizations. Yard Operator checks the asset at arrival and saves the visit after departure with both actual timestamps and the observed yard position. Similar markings can be checked before arrival evidence reaches the wrong trailer.
Shift handoff
Keep the visit number with arrival and departure information. Yard Supervisor reviews the submitted times and grace period before authorizing closure, so the next shift can explain which stay was reviewed.
Dispatch coordination
Dispatcher plans load stops and reviews truck and driver commitments. The trailer visit remains linked to the load while the assigned truck stays identifiable in dispatch work.
Condition follow-up
Fleet Coordinator records inspection findings and owned defects. Review the equipment status with Dispatcher when repair work affects the next planned movement.

Trailer Tracking System gives yard staff a visit record for the asset and gives Dispatcher the linked load context. Each team can follow the same case without relying on a parking description alone.
Start with a yard and a representative shift change. Choose a closed trailer visit, a departed stay awaiting review and a trailer under maintenance. Include a load that cannot obtain eligible driver or truck capacity. Ask each participant to identify the same trailer and load from their normal work screen.
For the completed stay, reconcile the source times and closure receipt before reviewing detention. For the maintenance case, follow the defect owner into the next dispatch conversation. Agree yard naming and who maintains each equipment status before expanding to further locations.
