Systems to connect
- Warehouse handoff. Populate shipment records and cargo item records from the actual outbound movement, using warehouse reference for traceability. Agree the source identity and the moment freight is ready to travel. The warehouse remains responsible for inventory and physical release.
- Carrier tender transport. Configure the EDI or API route used by the carrier. Tender To Carrier records EDI 204 and Tender Acceptance Tracking records EDI 990 in the EDI message log. Test delivery to the carrier and reconcile its acknowledgment with the message record.
- Tracking source. Configure tracking provider records for the selected provider type and auth method, and map incoming events to tracking events. Agree the webhook address and provider settings during setup. Verify credentials, event timestamps and shipment identity through an actual controlled exchange.
- Delivery documents. Set up the upload and storage path for recipient signature link, photo link and bill-of-lading image link. Verify file access for the operational reviewer and permitted customer account. Agree how the driver or carrier supplies each document to that storage path.
- Carrier invoices. Define how the authorized account enters invoice headers and lines, whether from a carrier feed or a reviewed source document. The active audit starts on entry into Auditing after the lines are ready. Test that mapping before allowing a feed to trigger invoice processing.
- Accounts payable. Connect the reviewed Approved outcome to the customer’s payable system. Retain an externally acknowledged bill identity and reconcile any eventual payment separately. Match the payable bill reference with the receiving system’s acknowledgment.
- Renewal notifications. Choose the renewal worklist, reminder schedule and notification behavior during setup. Verify the email account and actual reminder delivery alongside the recorded contract follow-up.
How connections are governed
Logistics Manager coordinates the business mapping with an account authorized to configure the connection. Keep credentials in the platform’s protected connection settings. Verify reference identity, currency and the fields read by active workflows before opening a transport to live traffic.
Retain the external response alongside the local outcome and rehearse missing references, failed delivery and repeated events. Replay a delivery event and confirm that it returns the same shipment/date proof record. Rehearse retries for each chosen connection as well. Review permissions for external contacts before sharing carrier or consignee data. Prepare the integration rehearsal.
