How a Workflow Automation Engine rollout works

Pilot one reviewed revision and reconcile its outside result.

  1. Agree ownership

Name the organization, Automation Owner, Reviewer, Operations Operator and Integration Steward for the first automation.

  2. Map the input

Choose a source record identifier, connector, input schema, definition version and field mapping that can be checked against the source system.

  3. Validate and decide

Run revision validation, inspect its operation and step trace, then have a separate Reviewer record the decision.

  4. Run and reconcile

Execute one reviewed revision, compare the run, attempt and step receipt with the action provider, and investigate an uncertain response before any retry.

  5. Rehearse correction

Create a successor revision through the correction workflow and leave the follow-up open until the compensating outcome is verified.

What the customer provides

  • The first organization, responsible people and a source request with a stable identifier.
  • Connector owner, policy reference, provider account and safe test access.
  • Field mappings, expected input and output, and a provider receipt the team can verify.
  • Review criteria, retry policy and the person who resolves uncertain outside outcomes.

Changing it afterwards

Prepare changes as a new revision. Review changed mapping, connector, input schema and retry policy with their owners. Repeat validation and independent review, then test the outside result and preserve earlier run evidence. Start with a pilot.
