Prepare the first operating cycle
Choose a parking area and dock with physical activity the pilot team can observe. Bring the open load list, original delivery promises and appointment windows. Prepare driver eligibility, vehicle readiness and defect release evidence for the equipment involved.
Include the stock requests, lot commitments and item units that the warehouse team needs to reconcile. Agree how arrival evidence and recipient documents are captured, and who investigates an unresolved operation at shift change.
Review before release
Rehearse a valid arrival and independent dock approval. Attempt self-approval and a stale revision, then try to complete work before its authorized effect is confirmed. Test an overlapping vehicle assignment and a stock quantity mismatch. The team should explain each rejected action and find the remaining work from its queue.
Reconcile the physical yard with the open visits and load commitments before expanding the pilot. Review implementation, roles and pricing with the responsible people.
