What you can do
Make the outcome of a lending action inspectable
Credit Officer needs to know whether an action completed, failed or still needs investigation. The operation receipt retains the action, expected revision and stable operation key. It also carries the claimed effect references and any failure reason. These details let the team investigate a specific attempt without issuing another financial instruction to discover what happened.
The Operations Overview screen brings approved applications, pending review decisions and failed operation receipts into the team’s daily attention. Use the underlying application and receipt when resolving a case. A summary helps prioritize work; the decision to close an exception depends on the actual records and provider evidence behind that case.
How the work is organized
- Operation identity. Keep the stable operation key with the parent application and expected revision. Use it when investigating a repeated action. A second click should lead the team back to the same operation rather than create another financial effect under an unrelated reference.
- Completion verification. Inspect the local effects an operation claims before marking its receipt Completed. If the expected records are absent or disagree, retain the discrepancy as needs review. Verification reads the outcome; it must not reissue the external instruction.
- Preserved corrections. Correct or cancel eligible authorized scope through the guarded path. Retain verified provider evidence and independent decisions. A request to reverse an effect requires confirmation from the provider before anyone treats the financial outcome as reversed.
What to agree during setup
Decide which assigned operators can request completion verification and who investigates discrepancies. Agree the evidence an operator must inspect for each action. An underwriting outcome needs its decision record; a provider action also needs its attributable external reference and verified outcome. A completed receipt should lead the reader to those effects.
Establish how the team records a correction request after an application is Confirmed. Keep the original provider event and decision available throughout the investigation. Define a safe response to an execution timeout: inspect the operation and provider references before considering any further execution. The implementation plan includes this case in the pilot rehearsal.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Choose a rehearsal operation whose receipt claims that an underwriting decision was saved. Remove the claimed effect only within the controlled test fixture, then run completion verification. The result should become needs review with a concrete explanation. The verifier must not create a replacement decision or execute a disbursement to make the receipt appear complete.
Restore the test fixture’s legitimate effect and verify again within the permitted recovery path. Repeating the same verification should leave the effects unchanged. Then request correction of a Confirmed loan while the provider’s reversal outcome is unknown. The application history must retain the original confirmation and verified evidence until the actual provider result is established.
What your team sees
- Operation Follow-up — Inspect pending, failed and review-needed operations with their revision and failure reason.
- Verified Provider Evidence — Read the provider events retained against the application’s revision.
- My Credit Decisions — Let the reviewer trace their own decisions relevant to an investigated operation.
