What you can do

Accept the quantity the team actually harvested

Harvest Reviewer checks a delivery against its crop cycle and recorded harvest date. Enter the recorded quantity as a number of zero or more, together with its unit and quality grade. The reviewer identity links to a team member so the accepted record identifies the person responsible for the decision.

A scouting estimate can help plan the work, but it is separate evidence from the harvested quantity. The delivery record supplies the accepted amount. Farm Manager follows that record back to the cycle and field when reviewing the harvest and deciding whether the cycle is ready to close.

How the work is organized

  • Cycle reference. Resolve the current crop cycle before accepting the delivery. Check its crop, variety and field so a harvest from the current season is not attached to an earlier cycle with a similar name.
  • Quantity and grade. Keep the harvested amount beside its unit and grade. Agree grade wording during setup and retain separate units when reviewing totals. A negative or invalid quantity needs correction before acceptance.
  • Reviewer identity. The acceptance records the signed-in Harvest Reviewer through their linked team record. Farm Manager can return to that person when a quantity or grade needs explanation during the closing review.

What to agree during setup

Agree who can accept a harvest and how the delivery reaches that person for review. Define the units used for each crop and the grade wording the team will recognize. A record in kilograms and a record in crates need separate treatment until the team has an agreed basis for comparison.

Decide how the recorded harvest date is checked and how a correction is handled after acceptance. The review should use the current record when a quantity changes while someone is looking at it. Set a clear handoff to any buyer or transport system that needs the accepted quantities, preserving the cycle reference and unit across that connection.

Check the handoff on an actual case

A crew records a harvest from the current tomato cycle. Harvest Reviewer checks the linked field through the cycle, the actual harvest date and the quantity with its unit and grade. The acceptance records the reviewer’s team identity so Farm Manager can follow up on the decision.

Rehearse a second delivery with a missing grade, then one with a negative quantity. Each needs correction before it can be accepted. Next, leave a harvest estimate in the scouting notes and confirm that it does not add to the accepted quantity.

During the close review, compare the accepted deliveries for the cycle without merging unlike units or grades. Farm Manager checks the outstanding field work and actual harvest date before moving the cycle to Closed. If another harvest visit is still expected, keep that fact in the operating discussion before making the closing decision.

What your team sees

  • Harvest Deliveries — Accepted quantities retain the cycle, harvest date, unit, grade and reviewing person.
  • Crop Cycles — Delivery evidence sits with the cycle’s stage and chronology for the close review.
  • Harvest Outlook — Expected dates help the team prepare upcoming harvest reviews.
