Prepare the next shift with Proto

Prepare trip reviews and explain operating handoffs with Proto.

It can

  • Property Manager: List Requested trips and compare passenger counts with the selected vehicles' capacities before dispatch review.
  • Front Desk Agent: Show my assigned service evidence with due times and completion details so I can prepare the shift handoff.
  • Finance Officer: Compare posted charges with confirmed documents for this trip and explain which references need review.
  • Operations Reviewer: Bring together the flight turn and draft gate entry for the selected trip before I decide the specialty outcome.

Stays with a person

  • Property Manager owns dispatch approval, and Operations Reviewer owns the eligible specialty decision.
  • Finance Officer confirms document handling and the trip comparison.
  • Proto can prepare the information, but the responsible person must make the business decision using the agreed access and review route.
  • A request to summarize a trip does not authorize a change to its status or charges.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree the operating boundary

Property Manager identifies the fleet, customers and ground movements for the pilot. Choose the operating time zone and the person who approves dispatch. Finance Officer agrees the currency and the close condition for an outstanding account.

  2. Prepare identities and references

Admin checks staff accounts and active people. Property Manager reviews customer names, vehicle numbers and capacities. Match source identities before bringing in open trips or their supporting evidence.

  3. Configure the working handoffs

Use Proto to prepare dispatch, flight capture, gate review and service completion with the named owners. Agree how the review route records decisions and which person carries out the resulting change.

  4. Rehearse real exceptions

Test overlapping vehicle requests, excessive passenger counts and a repeated dispatch submission. Capture a flight turn against an incorrect trip and practice correction. Check staff assignment and confirm that an unresolved financial difference prevents premature completion.

  5. Reconcile the first cycle

Finance Officer checks posted charges and confirmed documents separately. Property Manager checks completed trips and fleet readiness. The operating team accepts the handoffs before moving further customers or shifts into the system.

Scope, rollout and pricing for Airport Operations.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Airport Operations for your business. Pilot a ground transport team with a defined fleet, customer list and operating period. Include a dispatch conflict and a trip with an outstanding financial difference in the rehearsal.

What work does Airport Operations cover?

It coordinates ground trips with their customers, vehicles, planned windows and passenger counts. Flight turns, gate assignments and assigned service evidence support the operating handoff. Finance Officer reviews charges and transport documents before trip completion.

Who approves dispatch?

Property Manager acts as the dispatcher for the agreed operating scope. The decision checks the current request, staff identity, passenger capacity and vehicle commitments before a Requested trip becomes Confirmed.

How are flight turns connected to the ground movement?

Front Desk Agent selects the trip and records the flight number, scheduled arrival and passenger count. Operations Reviewer receives the specialty evidence, and the team checks the saved turn in the linked trip context.

How does the team review a gate assignment?

Finance Officer prepares a Draft entry with the gate code, start time and amount against the trip. Operations Reviewer examines its specialty evidence through the agreed route before the authorized outcome is applied.

How is service work assigned?

Property Manager connects service evidence to the trip, vehicle and responsible staff member. Front Desk Agent records progress and completion for assigned work. The due time and completion details help the next shift identify what remains.

What happens when charges and documents differ?

Finance Officer compares posted charges with confirmed transport documents. Resolve the difference or obtain the explicit outstanding-account acknowledgment required by the operating policy before Property Manager completes the trip.

When is a vehicle available again?

At completion, Property Manager releases the assigned vehicle to Cleaning or Available according to its readiness. The team reviews unfinished service work before treating the resource as ready for another dispatch.

Can arrival or accounting information come from another system?

Yes, as a connection to configure with the source owner. Agree the field mapping, update rules and repeated-event handling, then rehearse a changed arrival or financial correction before enabling routine exchange.

What should we test before using it for a shift?

Test overlapping requests, an excessive passenger count and a repeated dispatch action. Rehearse flight and gate review, service assignments and financial completion using ordinary role accounts. Ask the next shift to explain the saved trip and vehicle states.
