What you can do

Close the gap between the request and its evidence

An approved request establishes the work the team has authorized. A movement records a stock effect. Reconciliation brings those records together to check whether the posted quantity agrees with the authorized request. Inventory Supervisor uses the result to decide which work can be accepted as verified and which discrepancy still needs investigation.

Operation receipts distinguish Recorded, Verified, Failed and Corrected evidence. A recorded execution result is available for inspection before verification. If the posted movement total does not match the authorized quantity, reconciliation writes a failed receipt and leaves the request unchanged. The discrepancy remains visible alongside the work it concerns.

How the work is organized

  • Decision context. Review decisions retain the source revision, reviewer, time and reason. Returned and Escalated decisions help the supervisor identify requests needing further attention before an authorized action proceeds.
  • Supporting material. Attach a photo, document, certificate, signature or manifest reference to the stock request. Keep its organization context and title useful to the person checking the result.
  • Quantity comparison. Reconciliation compares the matching posted movement evidence with the authorized quantity. A stable request-derived operation key protects equivalent repeated verification calls.

What to agree during setup

Agree the quantity basis used for reconciliation, including how movement signs and linked compensating effects are treated. The supervisor should be able to explain the expected comparison on a receiving case and on a correction. A verification result should be traceable to the actual postings used in that comparison.

Name the person who investigates a failed receipt and the supervisor who follows up an escalated decision. A reason should identify the stock or revision problem clearly enough for the clerk to act on it. Decide how a supporting document link is accessed and who checks its source. Evidence remains useful only when the authorized reviewer can inspect it.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use an authorized request for 20 units with matching posted movement evidence. Run reconciliation and ask Inventory Supervisor to show why the quantity is verified. Then rehearse a case where the posting accounts for only 15 units. The failed receipt should describe the mismatch and the request must remain unchanged by that failed verification.

Repeat the matching verification with the same operation key. It should reuse the result rather than introduce another independent effect. Finally, ask the Auditor to trace an escalated decision to the request revision and then inspect the relevant receipt. Keep robot-task progress visible during this review, while assessing stock completion from its movement evidence.

What your team sees

  • Failed Operation Receipts — Stock-action failures and quantity discrepancies requiring investigation.
  • Returned and Escalated Decisions — Requests whose review reasons need follow-through.
  • Open Stock Requests — Operating work that still needs preparation, decision or execution.

Follow the work through

Use stock execution and verification for the comparison and correction and reversal for a quantity effect requiring repair.
