Get BOM Management running in four steps.

Click Get started and use Proto to configure BOM Management for your business. Choose the planner and quality reviewer for the pilot, then identify the person who will act as Manager for engineering review. Link each person to their own user account before using current-user views.

Bring an assembly’s item identity and revision, its effective window and component quantities with stated units. Prepare a customer order, an available resource and reconciled stock information. Agree how the planner hands revision instructions to the operator, and identify the inspection source the reviewer will use.

Validate the editable structure and submit a change request with the real requester, approver and reason. Have Manager review the engineering decision before release. Continue with an eligible work order, an identified material issue and a production interval, then have Quality Reviewer consider the Pending batch after Quality review.

Test an invalid interval, an incomplete change, an unapproved order and negative output. Repeat successful guarded actions and check that their original records have no second transition. Verify the operating views and detailed permissions with different accounts. Agree stock maintenance and any required external connection before using live work.
