What you can do

Establish the release evidence

Inventory Clerk records the customs entry, dutiable value and release reference against the stock request. The operating organization remains attached to the entry. This gives Inventory Supervisor a defined proposal to examine before the warehouse acts on the requested stock scope.

The bond entry follows its own review path. Inventory Clerk submits a Draft entry, and a different person decides the Submitted revision. Inventory Supervisor can approve or reject it. The separate stock release decision records the rationale on the parent request, with an operation receipt for the action.

How the work is organized

  • Prepare the entry. Inventory Clerk selects the parent request and records the customs reference and entry date. Keep the dutiable value consistent with the supporting source. Attach the relevant document to the stock request so the reviewer can inspect the evidence in its operating context.
  • Review the current revision. Inventory Supervisor checks the submitted entry independently of its creator. The decision must concern the current revision. A changed proposal returns for the appropriate review instead of silently inheriting an earlier person’s decision.
  • Keep the decisions distinct. Approval of the bond entry and authorization of the stock request describe separate actions. The request decision retains its rationale and outcome receipt. The entry can later be completed through its permitted action, with its own revision advanced.

What to agree during setup

Agree who supplies the authoritative customs reference and release evidence. Define how Inventory Clerk names the supporting document and which value is carried into the entry. App Administrator confirms the organization and currency context used during the first operating cycle.

Name the Inventory Supervisor covering release decisions and a different eligible reviewer for entries they prepared themselves. Agree how the team handles a returned or escalated request decision. The reason should tell the preparer what needs attention without leaving them to interpret a status label alone.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Prepare a rehearsal request for a lot of imported pump components. Inventory Clerk creates a bond entry with a recognizable customs reference and links the supporting certificate to the request. Submit the entry, then have its creator attempt the decision. The independent review must remain with another person.

Next, change the entry after a reviewer has opened it. The old revision must be refused when that reviewer tries to decide. Inventory Supervisor reloads the current proposal, checks the evidence and records the appropriate decision. Complete the separate release review on the parent request and inspect its rationale and receipt.

Finish by asking Auditor to distinguish the entry approval from the request authorization and any later stock execution. Each answers a different operating question, and the evidence should make the distinction clear without relying on a private message.
