- Who it's for
- Field operations
Field operations
Review scheduled field checklists and the evidence they produce. The planned execution date and step owner make the assignment clear. Checklist & SOP Management links the controlled definition to its execution, evidence and later decisions. The team can trace a result to the version that was published when the work started. This is useful when the same procedure is repeated at different times or by different people.
How Checklist & SOP Management is set up for you
Scheduled work
Set the planned date and step owner on the definition before the operator goes into the field.
Performed steps
Record each observation with sequence, date, outcome and source identity.
Evidence check
Let an Independent Reviewer verify supporting documents against the definition.
Field finding
Assign a rejected observation for follow-up with a due date and resolution.
Begin with a procedure the team already performs and can explain from start to finish. Choose its controlled step and current revision, then identify the person who prepares it and the separate person who reviews it. Prepare one expected result and one rejected result. The rejected result should lead to a follow-up action with an owner and due date. Compare the definition's step counts with the individual checklist outcomes when the rehearsal ends.
For a later execution, retain the first result. If the procedure needs a correction, inspect the prior revision, its evidence and the operation history before returning the definition for another decision. Agree who verifies evidence and who can resolve the follow-up. This gives the operating team a clear record of what was performed, what was reviewed and what still needs attention.
