What you can do
Put add-on work beside the booking
Add-on bookings record a service type, name, start date and attendee count against a parent booking. The available types are Food Service and Wellness Service. Front Desk Agent uses the linked booking to place the service in the context of the kitchen interval and client. Property Manager can see extra activity before the session begins.
Add-on charges are separate financial records. They carry the add-on name, charge date, amount and Draft, Posted or Voided status. Finance Officer records an amount and reviews it with the booking’s other charges. The service booking and charge use the same parent booking, giving the team a way to check that an amount relates to the right client event.
How the work is organized
- Service request. Capture type, name, timing and attendee count with the booking.
- Linked review. Examine add-on activity beside the kitchen commitment and tasks.
- Financial item. Record each add-on amount as a dated charge with its own status.
What to agree during setup
Agree which food or wellness services can be offered during kitchen time, who checks their timing, and who enters a request. Front Desk Agent and Property Manager manage add-on bookings. Finance Officer manages charges. A service name should let staff match activity with a later charge.
Decide how changes or cancellations are communicated between operations and finance. An add-on booking has its own start and attendee count but no lifecycle status. The parent booking and related charge provide operational and financial context. Staff should review the parent booking before posting a charge for an add-on that changed or did not take place.
Check the handoff on an actual case
A client with a confirmed kitchen booking requests a Food Service add-on on a date within the booking period. Front Desk Agent selects the booking, records the service name, start date and attendee count, and checks the timing with Property Manager. Finance Officer later records an add-on charge against that booking. It remains Draft while the amount is reviewed. After the service and amount are checked, Finance Officer posts it.
For another service, the front desk chooses Wellness Service and enters its own start date and attendee count. Both items remain visible against the booking without being confused with the kitchen slot rate. If a charge is entered in error, Voided keeps that correction traceable during payment review.
