What you can do
Decide on the submitted evidence
Transport Supervisor reviews the parcel scan that Dispatcher submitted. The decision records the source revision, reviewer, time and reason against the load. Approve accepts that submitted evidence, Reject declines it, and Return identifies the correction needed before another submission can be considered.
The review must remain independent from preparation. A dispatcher who helps cover a supervisory shift cannot supply the independent approval for their own scan. The decision procedure checks the person and the revision at the point of action, so opening a review queue earlier in the day does not authorize a decision on changed work.
How the work is organized
- Fixed submission. Dispatcher prepares the tracking number, scan time, supported weight and physical event type, then submits the current revision. Protect that submitted evidence while the supervisor is deciding.
- Reasoned decision. Transport Supervisor checks the evidence and records Approve, Reject or Return with a specific reason. A wrong tracking number or unsupported scan time gives the dispatcher a concrete problem to resolve.
- Accepted effects. Dispatcher performs eligible reviewed work after approval. The accepted milestone reaches Completed only when its effects persist and match the reviewed scope, with the operation receipt retaining that connection.
What to agree during setup
Agree what supporting evidence is sufficient for each scan type. A physical pickup event and a delivery event need evidence appropriate to their different handoffs. Decide how supervisors inspect attachments and provider references when the event arrived late or when its load association is disputed.
Define the correction path for returned work. Preserve the original submission and decision, then have the assigned dispatcher prepare an authorized correction and a fresh submission. Confirm that the decision action rejects a stale source revision and that a previous approval cannot be reused to accept different evidence merely because it belongs to the same load.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Use a submitted Sortation scan whose tracking number differs from the supporting parcel evidence. Transport Supervisor records Return and explains the mismatch. Dispatcher follows the correction procedure and submits the corrected revision. The supervisor then examines that new submission and records a fresh decision.
During the rehearsal, try editing the frozen submission directly and require the attempt to stop. After the authorized correction, try approving the old source revision and require that attempt to stop as well. Repeat the review using the original preparer’s identity to test independence. Finally, accept the valid current revision and inspect the receipt that connects the decision to the resulting milestone, including the outcome of an equivalent repeated request.
What your team sees
- Scan review inbox — Submitted parcel scans with their load, tracking number, event time, weight and revision.
- Review outcomes — Approve, Reject and Return decisions with the reviewer, reason and source revision.
Follow the work through
Use Accept a parcel scan for the human gate and Correct and reconcile when a prior action needs investigation.
