Ask Proto about the case record

Use Proto to inspect case work and prepare questions for the right owner.

It can

  • Matter Coordinator: Show assigned matters with open deadlines and the next due date.
  • Supervising Attorney: Gather the event lines and verified attachments for a pending revision review.
  • Auditor: Trace a closed matter from review decision to operation receipt and state change.

Stays with a person

  • The legal team owns case dates, reviewer independence and the decision on each matter revision.
  • Proto can organize linked records and prepare a comparison, but the Supervising Attorney makes the review entry.
  • Confirm an external filing or delivery through its source acknowledgement before treating the action as complete.

Implementation

Roll out one team at a time

Start with one team and one process, then add the rest once the basics are running.

  1. Agree case ownership

Identify the organizations, matter types, coordinators and independent attorneys who will run the first case cycle.

  2. Map existing records

Preserve matter numbers, source event identifiers, document references, opening dates and assigned owners. Review field mappings by matter type.

  3. Configure the pilot

Bring in a bounded set of cases with due work and supporting evidence. Set role access to the responsible organizations.

  4. Rehearse decisions

Return one case, correct it and approve the successor revision. Confirm that the earlier decision and evidence remain available.

  5. Trace delivery

Compare the approved revision with its operation receipt and external result reference. Test a failed or uncertain attempt before releasing live work.

All questions
How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Court Case Management for your business. Pilot one organization, an active matter type and a case with a deadline, document and independent review decision.

What is the main case record?

A matter holds the case number, subject, opening date, owning organization, type, assigned owner and status. Its workspace brings the supporting events, review decisions and state history together.

How are deadlines assigned?

Each deadline belongs to a matter and a named team member. Its due date, working state, completion date and resolution remain visible with the case.

Can we attach case documents?

Yes. Supporting attachments keep a file, title, document date, external reference, verification state and source matter. Event lines can carry their own source references and outcomes.

Who makes the review decision?

A Supervising Attorney records the decision on the specific matter revision. The coordinator prepares the case; the reviewer records an approval, return or rejection with a reason.

What happens when a reviewed case changes?

Prepare a successor revision and obtain a new independent decision. Keep the earlier evidence, decision and execution trace available. Assign follow-up due work when a delivered result is superseded.

How can we check delivery?

Compare the approved source revision with its operation receipt, ordered steps, attempts and external result reference. Investigate uncertain or failed attempts against the destination before retrying.

Can we import existing matters?

Map organizations, team members and matter types first. Preserve matter numbers and stable source identifiers, then reconcile a representative case with its events, attachments, deadlines and review history.

What drives the cost?

Review the pricing page for current platform rates and the implementation scope. Estimate imports, connected work and agent activity from your first operating cycle.
