What you can do

Review the kitchen before committing the package

An equipment price does not settle whether the proposed package is ready for the customer’s kitchen. The Quote Specialist records the utility supply, appliance count and required-by date on the package linked to the quote. The package has its own revision and status so the readiness decision remains distinct from the commercial quote decision.

Use the utility supply entry to describe the site information the team needs to review. Supporting drawings or ventilation evidence can be attached to the parent quote for the reviewer to inspect. Agree which documents the kitchen specialist will provide and how the Pricing Reviewer will use that evidence when deciding whether to approve the package.

How the work is organized

  • Preparation. The Quote Specialist creates a Draft package under the correct quote and organization. The appliance count and utility supply should describe the equipment scope the team is actually offering.
  • Independent decision. Submission moves the package to Submitted. The Pricing Reviewer reviews that revision and chooses Approved or Rejected, with the decision date retained for later examination.
  • Completion. An approved package can proceed through the completion action to Completed. Its approval and completion leave the parent quote’s prices and commercial state unchanged.

What to agree during setup

Define the evidence needed to judge utility and ventilation readiness for the kinds of kitchens you supply. Decide who obtains it from the customer or site engineer and who answers a reviewer’s question. Use a consistent description of utility supply so a blank or vague entry is identified before submission.

Agree what the required-by date means for your team. It may represent the deadline for a readiness decision in the quoting cycle; it should not be confused with an installation booking. Decide how to handle an equipment scope change after submission and rehearse the revision controls. Establish the condition for completing an approved package and the person responsible for requesting that action.

Check the handoff on an actual case

Use a rehearsal quote for a kitchen changing its cooking equipment. Enter the appliance count and known utility supply, then attach the available site information to the parent quote. Submit the package and ask the Pricing Reviewer to identify the revision being assessed. The reviewer should either approve it or reject it with a clear explanation through the guarded action.

After approval, request completion and inspect the saved outcome. Compare the parent quote’s value and status before and after this action; package completion must leave them unchanged. Repeat the request and confirm that it refers to the same operation evidence. Then try an outdated package revision so the team can recognize a refused request before handling live changes.
