Systems to connect
- Downstream order system. Configure the destination for Accepted quotes and their immutable lines. Agree customer and product-code mappings, the returned external reference and handling of repeated requests for the same accepted revision.
- Product pricing source. Agree how authoritative product prices and price book revisions reach draft quote lines. Define who maintains the source and resolves an outdated commercial input before pricing.
- Exchange-rate source. Keep effective rates under the read-only rate process. Agree any conversion used in customer documents while preserving the USD basis of quote economics.
- Engineering and customer evidence. Arrange how controller evidence and customer acceptance files reach quote attachments. Define evidence types, upload ownership and Internal or Shared visibility before the team uses the files in review.
How connections are governed
Assign an owner to each connection and record the organization scope it can use. Quote Specialist requests handoff from an Accepted revision through the guarded action. The operation receipt stays Pending when the order connection is absent. Completion needs real effect evidence; a returned reference must identify an actual downstream result.
Test duplicate requests, stale revisions and an unavailable destination during implementation. Investigate uncertain outcomes through handoff and recovery. Reconciliation compares evidence without sending another external operation.
